Marble Lips

Tantalizing Marble Lips!! How cute are they, so cute that I created sub business cards featuring marbled 8th Wonder lip glosses. Though these photographs were captured a little while back (3 months yikes) the look is still absolutely gorgeous. What do you think?

Today I was excited to test out the Coastal Scents Contour and Blush Palette!!!

So far so good... the colors are not as pigmented as I thought they would be but, that is a good thing because, I can build layers to create the prefect amount of color without going over broad. Every skin tone could wear this palette becaues the color's apply so lightly. This palette includes six extra-large matte shades for contouring, bronzing, and highlighting. Great for a makeup kit.

The six colors included, are not ashy which, is a must for my ethnic skin. I would highly recommend this product. I am sure my Coastal Scents Contour and Blush Palette will last a long time…The cherry on Top!

Not too happy about the ingredients, they could be better...
Overall a great product for the price. Just make sure that if you have dry skin, that you use a good moisturizer before you begin application. This palette when applied with a brush will exfoliate the skin causing it to look flaky and cakey. And we do not want that, No Saree!
Did I mention that this Palette was only $18.95? http://www.coastalscents.com/makeup/palettes/face-palettes/pl-008.html

Vintage Cosmetics Advertisements

The first commercially sold lip gloss was Max Factor's "X-Rated." It came out in stores in 1932, but Max Factor's invention of glosses for use in films allegedly dates back to 1930. I have been searching online for a view of this beloved Lip Creation, telling it “just a gloss” is disrespectful. Sorry to tell you but, I could not find a photograph of it...not yet anyhow. However, I found so many vintage Beauty and Cosmetics ads along the way, that my new quest was to find more. Enjoy this blast from the past makeup lovers….
