Vintage Cosmetics Advertisements

The first commercially sold lip gloss was Max Factor's "X-Rated." It came out in stores in 1932, but Max Factor's invention of glosses for use in films allegedly dates back to 1930. I have been searching online for a view of this beloved Lip Creation, telling it “just a gloss” is disrespectful. Sorry to tell you but, I could not find a photograph of it...not yet anyhow. However, I found so many vintage Beauty and Cosmetics ads along the way, that my new quest was to find more. Enjoy this blast from the past makeup lovers….
